Advancing High-Plex Digital PCR into the Mainstream

Stilla Technologies has added to the molecular biologist’s toolbox with the naica(R) system, using Crystal Digital PCR(TM) technology for the precise and highly sensitive quantification of multiple targets. This powerful, yet easy-to-use digital PCR (dPCR) platform is the highest multiplex dPCR instrument available, with six fluorescent channels used to detect multiple genetic targets in a single run.

Until recently, long hands-on time, low sensitivity, and the number of consumables required to run an experiment hampered the potential of digital PCR (dPCR) in labs. Crucially, multiplexing was limited to only two detection channels, in many cases. The naica(R) system was designed to address such limitations, featuring user-friendly operation, intuitive software and data analysis, and increased multiplexing capabilities.

Sign up for this exciting talk as Stilla CTO and founder Remi Dangla introduces leading researchers from SAGA Diagnostics, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and University of Athens, who will present multiplex dPCR data generated on the naica(R) system and discuss the potential for this burgeoning technology across a breadth of research and clinical applications.

NanoString11:30 am – 12:30 pm EDT

NanoString Technologies

Discussing the NanoString ecosystem of open source and BaseSpace tools for GeoMx data analysis.

This presentation will walk you through the introduction and evolution of NanoString Technology’s GeoMxR Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP) and our open-source GeoMxR data analysis ecosystem. First, we introduce the GeoMx technology and illustrate the importance of visualizing and interrogating tissues with a high plex spatial approach. We then dive into an example by analyzing GeoMx data from our Whole Transcriptome Atlas assay.

After a GeoMx walkthrough, we discuss NanoString’s existing and rapidly growing tools for streamlined data analysis:

  • GeoMx Data Analysis Suite (DSP DA)
  • Geoscript HUB and custom scripts
  • GeoMx Tools and open-source packages in Bioconductor

We also present our solution converting RNA-seq FASTQ files to Digital Counts to upload to the DSP Data Analysis Suite using the GeoMxR NGS Pipeline on Illumina BaseSpaceTM Sequence Hub. This pipeline provides scalability based on sequencing throughput, study size, and the number of users.

We share how the GeoMxR DSP DA is an interactive software for bridging tissue and expression data and discovering the biology associated with specific tissues and cell types. We also share how our current open-source tools and upcoming solutions will continually support your research and lab goals.

Prajan Divakar
Nicole Ortogero

Single Cell RNA-Seq on the Frontlines: High Multiplex and Time-course Experiments Expand Utility

Experimental designs are growing alongside the increased throughput requirements of single-cell RNA-Seq assays. Replicates, disease states, and time-course designs dramatically increase the number of samples and the burden of information gleaned from a single experiment. Alongside these considerations is a substantial increase in the implications of the results. Our speakers discuss the ramifications of higher-order studies on needs for data quality, throughput attenuation, and sample longevity.
